What is Medicare Advantage (Part C)?

What is Medicare Advantage and what type of coverage does it offer

Medicare Advantage (also known as Medicare Part C) plans replace Original Medicare and are offered by private insurance companies, with oversight from CMS. Medicare Advantage Plans cover everything that Original Medicare (Parts A & B cover) and can also offer additional benefits such as vision, hearing, dental, over-the-counter, fitness, transportation and more. Most plans also include prescription drug coverage. Plans may have lower out-of-pocket costs than Original Medicare.
